Laser Cutting

Laser cutting is a process in which a high-powered laser is focused and controlled by a computer to cut through various materials leaving a cleaner edge than many other cutting methods.

We use a top-of-the-line CO2 laser cutting machine, which allows us to cut with higher precision and faster speeds than many others. Our high quality equipment, 10+ years of experience and love of creative problem solving we are able to produce exceptional work for our clients.

The maximum size for a laser cut is 990 x 590 mm.

PLEASE NOTE we do have a through feed which allows for longer object to be cut/engraved on. Please contact us for your specific requirements.

All files submitted will be translated into Corel Draw

Laser engraving

Laser engraving etches into the surface of a material and typically is not used for cutting. Using a jpeg, raster or solid vector shape the laser is adjusted to engrave to a desired depth. Laser engraving can be combined with laser cutting to create objects with multiple layers of detail. For engraving onto metals please look at our Metal Marking page.

Metal Marking

We receive many enquires about working with metals. We cannot cut through metals, but can mark metals. Uses can run the gamut from technical measurement devices to whiskey flasks.

Markable metals:

  • Uncoated brass, stainless steel, copper, aluminium, nickel, bronze are marked using laser activated metal marking spray which will result in a black or grey colour
  • Anodized aluminium will result in a whitish colour.
  • Painted or enamelled metals will have varying colours depending on coating and metal.
  • Metals with a clear coat are not suited for this application.
